Overview
A collection of 20+ animated character portraits designed to work seamlessly with Mythril2D’s built-in dialogue system. Each portrait includes multiple expressions:
- Happy, Sad, Angry, Surprised, Neutral
- Talking animation (4 frames)
- Special expressions (Thinking, Embarrassed, Determined, Scared)
Installation
- Download and import the
.unitypackage - Portraits are added to
Assets/Addons/DialoguePortraits/Sprites/ - Reference them in your dialogue data files
Usage
In your Mythril2D dialogue JSON, reference portraits by name:

Available portrait prefixes: hero_, merchant_, elder_, villain_
Each prefix supports: happy, sad, angry, surprised, neutral, thinking, talking
Customization
To add your own character portraits, follow the naming convention:
charactername_expression.png (static)
charactername_talking_01-04.png (animated)
Place them in the DialoguePortraits/Sprites/ folder and they’ll be auto-detected.
